JOB DESCRIPTION
Tjekvik is looking for an experienced and commercially strong Head of Sales to lead the company’s sales organisation into its next phase of growth. This is an opportunity to join a category leading international SaaS company with an established market position, an international sales team already in place and significant potential to scale further. The mandate is to drive commercial growth, strengthen the sales organisation and create a more predictable and scalable sales operation across markets.
GlobeSearch is assisting Tjekvik in the search for the new Head of Sales.
Tjekvik is a PE backed Danish SaaS company providing self service check in and check out solutions to automotive dealerships, delivered through indoor kiosks, outdoor terminals and online. Tjekvik serves more than 2,000 dealerships across 25+ markets. The largest markets are the UK, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Denmark, France, Austria, Spain, Australia, Ireland and Norway, with further presence in markets including Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Finland, Portugal, Slovakia, Switzerland, Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates. Tjekvik is the category leader in its segment and is majority owned by Standout Capital, a Swedish growth focused private equity firm.
As Head of Sales, you will translate Tjekvik’s commercial strategy into strong execution and sustainable growth. You will lead and develop the existing international sales team, strengthen both enterprise and high velocity sales capability, and establish greater discipline across pipeline management, forecasting and CRM. You will also play a key role in identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand Tjekvik’s commercial reach across markets and customer segments.
The role requires a leader who understands modern SaaS sales and knows how to build a high performing commercial organisation. You will work closely with the CEO and key stakeholders across the business to align sales priorities with product, delivery and customer success, ensuring that commercial ambitions can be delivered reliably.
This role combines leadership, commercial growth and organisational development. You will lead and develop the sales organisation, raise its overall capability and performance, and establish the structure, discipline and predictability required to support Tjekvik’s next phase of growth. The successful candidate combines strong commercial leadership with operational discipline and genuine people leadership, with the ability to operate strategically while remaining close to execution and create clarity, accountability and momentum across an international sales organisation.
You will lead a distributed sales team based across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the UK, Germany, France, Austria, Poland, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. Tjekvik is remote first, and leading, coaching and creating consistency across a team spread over multiple time zones and market maturities is a core part of the role.
Tjekvik’s commercial model combines two sales motions. Enterprise and strategic sales towards key accounts, large dealer groups and OEMs involve long, complex cycles and multiple stakeholders. Alongside this sits a high volume of smaller, faster moving contracts with sales cycles of one to two months, where activity levels, conversion and repeatability drive the result. The successful candidate is able to lead both motions and knows that they require different processes, metrics and coaching.
The primary areas of responsibility include:
· Lead, coach and develop the existing sales team, creating clear expectations, accountability and consistent execution across markets.
· Drive enterprise and strategic sales towards key accounts, large dealer groups and OEMs, including structured discovery, value based selling, multistakeholder management and disciplined deal progression across long and complex cycles.
· Build and run a high velocity sales motion for the large volume of smaller, faster moving contracts, ensuring the right activity levels, conversion rates, repeatability and efficiency to win consistently within a one to two month cycle.
· Establish strong sales process discipline, including effective CRM usage, high quality pipeline management, accurate forecasting and clear next steps across opportunities.
· Own segmentation, territory design and coverage across markets, so that resources, pricing and sales approach are matched to the size and complexity of the opportunity.
· Work closely with the CEO and cross functional leaders to align sales execution with product, delivery, hardware operations and customer success, ensuring that customer commitments can be delivered reliably at scale.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate holds a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. However, for the right profile, proven results and relevant leadership experience will be valued more highly than formal qualifications.
We expect you to have:
· Proven experience leading and developing a sales team, with a track record of raising capability and performance through clear structure, coaching and strong sales leadership.
· Proven ability to run two sales motions in parallel: complex enterprise and OEM level sales with long cycles and multiple stakeholders, and a high volume, high velocity motion with short cycles. Experience building repeatable processes, activity models and coaching rhythms for both.
· The ability to raise the commercial bar and embed modern SaaS sales practices across a team with mixed backgrounds, tenure and market maturity.
· Strong commercial judgment and a clear growth orientation, with the ability to prioritise the opportunities and activities that create sustainable revenue and profitability.
· Experience operating across international markets and multiple stakeholders, including leading and developing distributed teams remotely, combined with a pragmatic and hands on leadership style.
Experience from the automotive industry is an advantage, but not a requirement. The key success factors are strong leadership, commercial maturity and the ability to build a high performing SaaS sales organisation.
