Method

GCM, AI and people. How we work.

Our method rests on the same foundation today as it did 35 years ago: Relationships, source work, judgement and ethics. What has changed is our ability to reach further, understand the market faster and work closer to candidates. AI and Talentplay support the method. They do not replace it.

How wework

GlobeSearch Connected Methods, GCM, is our search discipline. It is the structure our assignments run through, whether handled as a full executive search or in a streamlined form.

The method is human by nature. It is built on the same senior consultants following the assignment from the first meeting to the follow-up after the hire. Under each step we set out where AI supports the work, and what we do ourselves.

GCM — 4 steps
01

Meeting you

We build a detailed understanding of the need, the culture and the candidate criteria together with you before the search begins.

Where AI supports

AI supports the preparation with market insight: where the profiles sit and how the field looks.

What we do

Calibrating the role and the candidate criteria happens in dialogue between you and the consultant.

02

Research

Consultants and researchers work side by side. On every longlist we aim for 50 % candidates we already know and 50 % new profiles.

Where AI supports

AI supports the mapping of markets and organisations and helps structure large volumes of research.

What we do

Researchers and consultants decide who is genuinely relevant, and why.

03

Activate

The network is activated so we reach the profiles who are not looking. The dialogue is led by the consultant who knows the role.

Where AI supports

AI supports broader identification, so we also reach profiles beyond the obvious lists.

What we do

Outreach, relationships and confidential conversations sit with the consultant.

04

Deliver

Presentation, assessment and follow-up. We follow up after the hire.

Where AI supports

We do not use AI here. The assessment and the recommendation are ours.

What we do

The consultant presents, assesses, explains the recommendation and follows up.

Where AI helps

AI supports the research. The judgement is ours.

We use AI where it creates real value in the search work: in mapping markets, in structuring research, in market insight and in identifying candidates who do not appear on the obvious lists. Each area belongs to a specific step in GCM.

The result is not more candidates. It is a better starting point for the conversations that decide a search. Who we recommend is decided by people.

01
Step 01: Meeting you

Market insight

We build a broader picture of competencies, organisations and movements in the market, and use it when calibrating the role with you.

02
Step 02: Research

Mapping

We map markets, organisations and career paths more systematically than manual research alone allows.

03
Step 02: Research

Structured research

AI helps us structure large volumes of information so research time is spent on the profiles that are genuinely relevant.

04
Step 03: Activate

Broader identification

We find candidates beyond the obvious lists, including profiles with less conventional career paths that would otherwise be missed.

We work closely with the companies building the technology themselves. We recruited the CTO for Raffle, which built an AI chatbot before ChatGPT reached the market, the CTO for ENFOR, which applies advanced AI to the green transition, and several key technology profiles for Grazper in computer vision. Where people still make the difference

Judgement, dialogue and accountability stay with people.

Judgement

Whether a candidate will succeed in your specific organisation is not decided by data. It is decided by experienced consultants who have seen the situation before.

Dialogue

Experienced leaders and specialists are rarely actively looking. The conversation is therefore led by a consultant who knows the role and the market.

Relationships

Our network is built through decades of high-trust relationships. No tool can replace or recreate it.

Ethics and accountability

Confidentiality and fair treatment of both clients and candidates are part of the craft. The recommendation is ours, we explain it to both parties, and we follow up after the hire.

The method has also carried long engagements around technology, product and international scaling. For Planday, we strengthened the technology and product organisation as well as the financial leadership through an international growth journey.

Talentplay
Talentplay

The candidate-facing side of our work.

Talentplay is GlobeSearch's candidate-facing career platform, developed to help candidates understand, develop and present their career.

Where GCM describes how we work for our clients, Talentplay extends the way we work with candidates and careers. It follows the same development: We use technology to create value in the meeting between people, not to replace it.

Better search

Technology does not replace the craft. It supports it.

The next evolution of executive search is not about replacing the discipline. It is about combining its strengths with new technology to create better outcomes for clients and candidates.
